Projects

Project manager and co-trustee Alan Seager said in October 2012 “we are very proud of what has been achieved in such a very short time, however, the work has only really just begun, having spent most of the budget allocated we must now fund the project going forward. We urge all our sponsors where possible to continue their generous support”.

The Charity, having now raised over £80,000 continues  to support the Nursery School & Mummy’s Day Care Nursery and to also fund new projects in the area, such as helping the local SOS High School. Build A School in Gambia are committed to helping those in need and continuing to help in future projects and maintaining the schools.

We are very grateful for all the help received over the few years from charity members, the workers who travelled from UK and all our other helpers both in the UK and The Gambia. Without their support the initial project of building the Nursery School and subsequent projects would never have been achieved.

BASIG are very proud of the achievements to date and strive to continue to make fantastic improvements to children’s lives and education in Gambia.
